In its latest July 2009 newsletter, sports drink specialist Taut has heralded the signing up of GB Olympic triathlete Hollie Avil, as the next athlete to join Mathew Pinsent OBE in promoting Taut.
Via a 1:38 minute media spot on the Taut website, Avil explains why she chooses Taut. She notes the importance of “drinking something with not any additives in, it’s clean… the flavour tastes natural… it’s not too heavy.”
A series of ‘Hollie Avil Taut’ print ads, which feature Avil training and at rest, sees the brand invite triathletes to ‘Make Taut part of your routine…’
Avil came to triathlon via swimming. She became World Junior Champion in 2007, and in 2008 became British Champion. The 2008 season also saw her finish second and third in ITU World Championship events.
Taut is the official sports drink of the British Triathlon Federation and has made notable in-roads in supporting British triathlon throughout 2009. The Taut sponsored British Triathlon Ranking Series took place at the beginning of August in Strathclyde County Park organised by Glasgow Triathlon Club.
