USA Triathlon (USAT) has announced the appointment of the national Board of Directors Southwest Region seat and the results of the treasurer election. The appointment and election took place at the Board of Directors meeting on 30 May 2009.
The Board appointed Vince O’Brien of Valley Village, California, to serve on the national Board of Directors representing the Southwest Region. O’Brien replaces Jeff Matlow, who resigned due to time commitments with current professional obligations.
O’Brien most recently served on the USA Triathlon Business Council. He is the Vice President – Account Services for Kaleidoscope Sports and Entertainment.
Bob Wendling, a national Board member representing the Mid-Atlantic Region, was elected to replace Matlow as treasurer for the remainder of 2009.
