USA Triathlon (USAT) is expanding its Continuing Education opportunities in Des Plaines, Illinois, with two workshops available for all USAT certified coaches, USAT members, athletes and the general public to attend.
On 7 May 2009, Weight Loss for Endurance Athletes & Coaches, will involve a 4 hour workshop to provide endurance athletes realistic weight loss methods that can be easily applied to real life. The complex nature of weight loss will be presented in simple and easy to follow plans for all types and abilities of endurance athlete – ranging from the novice to the elite. This clinic will feature Bob Seebohar, MS, RD, CSSD, CSCS, USAT Level III Certified Coach.
On 8 May, Train Like a Runner for Triathlon Success, sees Bobby McGee, Olympic coach and running expert, give a 3 hour running workshop. With his new book, Workouts in a Binder for Runners & Triathletes as a guide, participants will discover a method of conditioning and peaking a triathlete to run their very best. Bobby McGee is the USAT expert on sport psychology and biomechanics. He has also produced world record holders, an Olympic champion and numerous Olympians as runners in addition to his work with triathletes.
