USA Triathlon workshops tackle coaching business issues and sports nutrition

USA Triathlon (USAT) has two new Continuing Education Courses (CEUs) in March to bolster the experience of USAT certified coaches.

The Coaching as a Business CEU Workshop held on 26 March 2009 at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, discusses steps to help grow a triathlon coaching business. In this workshop, coaches Mike Ricci and Bob Seebohar will address the basics of creating a business plan, how to identify and appropriately market to a coaching niche, and will discuss ways to develop revenue streams.

This will be an interactive session and offers attendees the tools and tips needed to run a successful coaching business. Mike Ricci is the President & CEO of D3 Multisport, Inc, and Bob Seebohar is the co-owner of Elite Multisport Coaching as well as the owner of Fuel4mance.

On 29 March 2009, Bob Seebohar presents the Sports Nutrition Update: Research vs. Reality CEU Workshop. Also held at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, this workshop covers the latest research on carbohydrate, protein, fat, hydration, electrolytes, nutrient timing. Most importantly, the workshop will discuss how to implement the latest research and sports nutrition insights in real-life athlete training and racing situations. As with the Coaching as a Business workshop, there will also be opportunity for forum discussion on various topics with the audience throughout.
