Zipp Speed Weaponry is the new wheel partner of the Dresdner Kleinwort Triathlon Team for the 2009 season. Team captain, and two time Ironman Hawaii Champion, Normann Stadler, already riding Zipp Wheels, said, “As professionals we are depending on high-end products. Thanks to our new partners we are lucky to be perfectly equipped for the upcoming season.”
Dresdner Kleinwort has dedicated itself to sport sponsorships in marathon and triathlon until 2011. The Dresdner Kleinwort Triathlon Team represents a next generation of international triathlon talent. It is captained by Normann Stadler, the most successful German triathlete and a winner of the Hawaii Ironman World Championships in 2004 and 2006.
Markus Fachbach (Germany) and Jan Raphael (Germany) were announced as the first two team members in 2007. The team is now complete with Maik Twelsiek (Germany), Mathias Hecht (Switzerland), Marino Vanhoenacker (Belgium) and Scott Neyedli (Scotland). On 5 April, Mathias Hecht and Maik Twelsiek will start at Ironman Australia and Marino Vanhoenacker at Ironman South Africa with the new Zipp equipment.
According to Dresdner Kleinwort, ‘our sponsorship of Normann Stadler and the triathlon team runs to 2011 – an indication of how we value continuity and providing a stable and professional environment in which to focus on the job at hand and to really push the boundaries.’
