The Annual General Meeting of shareholders of Accell Group NV will be held on Thursday 22 April 2010 at the offices of Batavus BV in Heerenveen, the Netherlands.
The agenda for the meeting including annexes is available at the Accell Group website. Shareholders unable to attend the meeting in person, but who wish to vote, are given the opportunity to make use of a Power of Attorney, which is also available on the site.
In addition to approval of a dividend, adoption of the 2009 annual accounts and a review of board remuneration, the meeting shall involve a presentation and discussion of Accell Group’s 2009 Annual Report.
The theme of the 2009 annual report is ‘Sound & sustainable’. In the report, the owner of road bike brands such as Koga and Lapierre outlined a number of strategic objectives. These include:
• Organic volume growth by increasing market shares of existing brands;
• Turnover growth through the introduction of innovative high-grade products;
• Making above-average investments in R&D;
• Gaining complementary business, through acquisitions and other means; and
• Utilising the synergies of the companies within Accell Group
