Interbike expanded video coverage at its 2010 Interbike International Bicycle Expo with ‘InterbikeTV’ –a series of programmes that covered diverse subjects from hot products, cycling advocacy, to retailer and supplier news.
The Universal Sports Media Center at Interbike was located on the main show floor, and featured a working newsroom and TV studio. Inside Cycling TV returned as the technology partner and managed the TV studio and live streaming of video from the booth.
In addition to InterbikeTV and with a focus on business news, Gregg Bagni of Alien Truth hosted ‘Alien Truth TV’, and David Bernstein hosted the ‘The Spokesman’, where they interviewed the cycling industry’s top movers and shakers.
InsideCycling had several lifestyle and entertainment programmes as well, covering cycling, MTB, BMX and Fixies.
A camera crew roaming the show floor looked for interesting product news to augment in-studio programming.
The TV studio featured blue-screen technology and a new seating arrangement. Content was geared towards the bike shop owner who couldn’t attend Interbike and those who wanted their daily dose of Interbike.
Live footage was viewable on UniversalSports.com, and on-demand footage was posted at the end of each day to interbike.com, interbike.tv and insidecyclingtv.com.
