The Ironman Access membership program is no more, following an outcry from athletes. Ben Fertic, President and CEO of World Triathlon Corporation, has released an official video statement about the withdrawal of Ironman Access via Ironman.com.
In the statement he said: "Clearly by the comments received into the office via e-mail, and the Facebook comments, you guys think we’re wrong. If you guys think that we’re wrong, then we’re wrong.
"So, we’re going to rescind the Ironman Access program. We’ll refund the money. And I just wanted to say personally that we’re sorry we disappointed you. We’re human. We make mistakes, but we’re listening."
