With less than one month to go until the 2010 USA Triathlon Race Director Symposium, race directors from across the US still have a chance to be a part of this exciting weekend set for 12-14 February at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
This annual event provides an opportunity to network with other race directors, USAT partner vendors, USAT staff and the risk management team from ESIX.
Registration is US$475 until 29 January. Included in the fee are breakfast and lunch for all three days, as well as a Friday night reception. The weekend will commence at 8am on Friday 12 February and concludes at 1pm on Sunday 14 February.
Keynote speakers for the weekend include the Disney Institute, which will present the ‘Disney Approach’ to building and maintaining brand loyalty; Erik Weihenmayer, the only blind man to summit Mount Everest; Johan Bruyneel, who guided Lance Armstrong to seven Tour de France titles as his long time team manager; and Brad Davison of R&B Sports, LLC, who has over 18 years experience in risk management.
In addition to the keynote speakers, race directors will have the chance to be a part of a number of general and breakout sessions throughout the weekend with varied topics ranging from ‘Volunteer Recruiting and Management’ to ‘Technology and Social Media’ and ‘Budgeting in Tough Times’.
The Symposium weekend will also feature the second USAT Hall of Fame Banquet, which will honour inductees Jim Curl, Carl Thomas, Valerie Silk, Barb Lindquist and Paula Newby-Fraser.
