According to local media reports, the 2011 edition of Ironman Malaysia has been postponed. In 2010, the event, held in Langkawi, took place at the end of February.
The 12th edition had recently been proposed for May 2011. However, Race Director A. Chandrakumanan has reportedly suggested that May would be too soon to ensure that all resources are in place.
Discussions are understood to be continuing between the local organisers and World Triathlon Corporation (WTC).
