Sports Multiplied, LLC, the Carlsbad, California, based US distributor of high performance sports compression brand, 2XU, has revealed its new sponsorship contract with the RealCyclist.com Pro Cycling Team for the squad’s inaugural season in 2011.
As a prominent industry leader, 2XU will provide the United States based UCI Continental team’s 13-rider roster with compression gear throughout their competition in UCI America Tour events and the National Racing Calendar (NRC) 29-event series.
Based in Dahlonega, Georgia, the RealCyclist.com Pro Cycling Team is owned and operated by On the Rivet Management. RealCyclist.com serves as the team’s title sponsor, offering premium road cycling gear online for all the best brands in the business, including all of the team’s current fourteen sponsors.
“Imperative to the success of any professional team is the quality of their sponsors,” said the team’s Sports Director, Gord Fraser. “We’re very fortunate that in our inaugural year we have accumulated some of the industry’s very best equipment and support, which will help enable the Realcyclist.com Pro Cycling Team to achieve our ambitious goals.”
“This is an incredibly unique opportunity to forge a relationship with the team, their top notch brand management and staff,” noted Sports Multiplied Co-Owner, Richard Verney.
“This group fields an impressive roster and loads of potential to turn some heads in 2011. Together we are looking to challenge the status quo and push the limits to take this group to the podium in our 2XU Compression.”
Noting the importance of compression gear, team rider Cole House said, “I like the 2XU Compression Leggings as I feel like I’m in recovery the whole time I’m wearing them. Whether I’m traveling and wearing them under my casual pants or warming up with a light spin, the compression gear makes all the difference in allowing me to perform at my peak.”
Coming off a win at the recent Sea Otter Classic and with the Tour of Gila on the horizon, all team members will look to wear 2XU Compression gear to aid their recovery for their next race.
