Champion System has announced its sponsorship of The Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan’s women’s pro cycling team, NOW and Novartis for MS. The new cycling team has embarked on a campaign to raise awareness for multiple sclerosis. The team of pro female athletes is currently competing in the pro racing circuit.
Riders have won three national titles in the US, won the pro women’s overall at Tulsa Tough and racked up several podium finishes in just two months since the team’s inception. The team is also touring the US to participate in 10 National Multiple Sclerosis Society Bike MS events, riding tandem with honorary teammates who are living with MS.
Champion System provided custom designed kits for all pro team members and their honorary teammates.
“I’m proud to partner with Phil Keoghan on NOW and Novartis for MS,” said Champion System CEO Scott Kaylin. “Not only are we invested in this team on a competitive level but are excited to be part of the greater good Phil is bringing to the table in the campaign to end MS.”
Each race and Bike MS event features the NOW and Novartis team in a fully custom Champion System kit. The team is the first of its kind that promotes awareness against MS by bringing those living with MS to the front lines, participating in their own fight to raise awareness and prove no one is defined by this disease.
Like Keoghan and NOW and Novartis for MS, Champion System is a huge supporter of women’s cycling and the MS movement, thus why this sponsorship made good sense.
“The opportunity to establish a pro women’s cycling team happened very quickly so we needed to work with a clothing company that could responded immediately to produce a world class product that is recognized for its comfort and performance. Scott and his team not only met our deadlines but have also stood by us in our mission to create awareness for MS,” said Keoghan.
The team name NOW and Novartis for MS is based on Keoghan’s No Opportunity Wasted (NOW) lifestyle brand that promotes the philosophy of living life to the fullest. “It’s time to ditch the excuses!” added Keoghan.
Keoghan will appear on the cover of the autumn/fall 2011 issue of Momentum magazine – the National MS Society’s national magazine – in the official Champion System kit for NOW and Novartis for MS.
