TriStar111 Split will take over the city of Split and its surroundings on Sunday 18 September. The race arrives in Croatia for the first time and offers more options than ever, for the more experienced athletes and for those who simply want to debut.
A large number of international and Croatian triathletes will enjoy the beauty of Split and its surrounding area. The race starts with a swim in the centre of the old part of town, where once the Roman Emperor Diocletian himself enjoyed the wonders of the Adriatic Sea.
Swimming is then followed by the bike course, which passes through picturesque villages of Split’s hinterland and offers a stunning view of Split aquatorium and its islands from the top of Mala?ka hill.
Last, but not least, comes the run. Here, the course will take athletes through the ‘enchanting pine forest of Marjan penninsula with its many crickets cheering athletes on towards the finish line situated right at the great Emperor’s doorstep.’
According to the race organisers, TriStar Split is synonymous with fun and quality. Another pillar of TriStar is social responsibility; therefore the event supports the Livestrong Foundation. Star Events is committed to environmental protection in collaboration with the 4vita.org association, and does its best to encourage triathletes and triathlon lovers to take care about nature as much as they care about their own bodies.

TriStar has introduced new distances to the sport of triathlon (i.e. 111K and 222K), is officially recognized by ITU, and has a new Team Racing Concept T5.
