General entry for both Ironman China and Ironman 70.3 China is close to selling out for the first time. Both races have just over a dozen entry places remaining for the combined events, which take place on 29 May 2011.
Though in its fourth year, this year Ironman China relocates to Jixian, Tianjin Province, east of Beijing. According to World Triathlon Corporation (WTC), the events’ new look have been popular with competitors worldwide.
Both the 70.3 and the Ironman races have seen entries flow in from all over the world as the event is one of the last remaining 2011 Ford Ironman World Championship qualifiers still open for entry.
