ITU Sport Administration Coordinator Position

The International Triathlon Union (ITU) Sport Department is looking to appoint a Sport Administration Coordinator to fulfil the growing demands of ITU events and National Federations around the world.

The Sport Administration Coordinator position is based in Lausanne, Switzerland. Starting in May 2011, the permanent position reports to the Senior Manager of Sport Administration. Salary is negotiable – commensurate with experience.

The successful applicant will be responsible for working closely with the Senior Manager of Sport Administration and other members of the Sport Department to communicate with Local Organizing Committees on:
• Information on the ITU website
• Technical inventory management
• ITU Team travel

Communication with National Federations on:
• Bidding process for various ITU events

Communication with International Technical Officials on:
• Assignments
• Expense reports

The role involves managing:
• Side events related with the ITU World Championship Grand Final
• Events and technical related database
• Finances of the ITU office in Lausanne
• Technical Officials’ monthly newsletter

Requirements:
• A degree or equivalent experience in sports administration
• Knowledge of sport and the Olympic movement is required
• Project management ability
• Strong work ethic and attention to quality and detail
• Able to work independently and as a team member
• Able to travel for extended periods

Applicants should be comfortable working in a small close-knit team environment, alongside having effective oral and written communication skills in English and French, and possess computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, video, Photoshop).
