Gold medallist at the Beijing Olympics, Jan Frodeno is now part of the Specialized setup.
“I know most of the guys who are part of Specialized and I get along with all of them, but the product was the deciding factor,” said Frodeno about his move to Specialized.
Since winning the triathlon gold medal at the Olympic Games in Beijing everybody wants his opinion on just about everything, but in 2011 Jan Frodeno has only two things on his mind. The German wants to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games in London and win the World Series.
This year the Dextro Energy International Triathlon Untion (ITU) World Series start on 10 April in Sydney. Then Frodeno is off to Yokohama, Madrid, Kitzbühel and Hamburg before its crunch time at the 2012 Olympic course in London on 7 August.
The Dextro Energy ITU Series Grand Finale is in Beijing on 11 September. It will be a chance for Frodeno to go back to the place where on Tuesday 19 August 2008 his life changed forever.
“I’m excited about going back to Beijing. I’ve done really well in Asia. The course is fantastic, very unique and well worth seeing.”
