UK event organiser One Step Beyond (OSB) is inviting competitors in its iron distance Outlaw Triathlon to put themselves into the mix to win a Quintana Roo Kilo triathlon bike worth £1250 (€1,385).
QR is the bike partner of the Outlaw, and is offering a brand new bike in return for raising a few pounds for the official charity, the British Heart Foundation (BHF). Every competitor taking part and raising some money for the BHF will be entered into a prize draw to win the bike.
The suggested fundraising target is £100 – not an insurmountable figure to raise with a month to go until the start. All fundraisers, no matter how much or how little they raise, will be eligible to win the QR Kilo bike.
The QR Kilo is a serious entry-level triathlon bike. It is made from lightweight AN6 alloy aluminium and has wind tunnel designed seat stays amongst other aero features.
Under the Outlaw charity/event promotion, competitors need only set up a JustGiving fundraising page, or visit www.bhf.org.uk/get-involved/fundraising.aspx to download a fundraising pack.
Athletes should let One Step Beyond know via its Facebook page if raising money the old fashioned way, to be sure that they are entered into the draw! The winner will be published on www.facebook.com/OutlawTriathlon by 1 August.
The British Heart Foundation has a vision to work towards a world where people don’t die prematurely from heart disease. All donations will really help, so Outlaw competitors are asked to please get involved!
