Rachel Joyce praises Aqua Sphere Phantom

Winner at Ironman Lanzarote 2011, second at Ironman South Africa, fifth at the 2010 Ironman World Championships, and the first woman out of the water in Hawaii, British triathlete and member of Team Abu Dhabi Triathlon, Rachel Joyce has been trying out the new Aqua Sphere Phantom. On the back of recent praise from professional UK triathlete and experienced coach Richard Allen, her comments are an added boost for the new Aqua Sphere Phantom wetsuit.

Joyce said, “I won’t lie – coming from a swimming background, I am not a big fan of wetsuit swims but this year, wearing the Phantom by Aqua Sphere, I have recorded two of my best Ironman swims to date in Ironman South Africa (51.06) and Ironman Lanzarote (49:05).

“The arms of the wetsuit are super flexible so I am not fighting to get my arms over, and the new features aren’t gimmicks. They really work! The new core power system is great for maximising rotation, and I know no competitor has an advantage over me when it comes to their wetsuit.

“What’s more, finding goggles that don’t leak, fit comfortably and don’t leave me with an unattractive ‘goggle eye’ has been an on-going mission of mine over the last few years. Aqua Sphere have come up trumps with their Kayenne Small Fit, which caters perfectly for us people with smaller heads. Thank you Aqua Sphere!”
