After winning at the e-Commerce Awards for Excellence last year, leading UK online bike retailer Wiggle is delighted to be shortlisted for two awards this year. In 2011, Wiggle is in the running for Best Large Online Retailer as well as the International e-Retail Award, which it won in 2010.
Competition will be fierce with the likes of ASOS, John Lewis and Kiddicare also making it into the final four for the title of Best Large Online Retailer. ArenaFlowers.com, ASOS and Electrocomponents have reached the shortlist for the International e-Retail Award.
The awards celebrate the UK’s leading presence in e-Commerce innovation and bring together scores of industry success stories. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, which is due to take place at the Sheraton Park Lane, London, on Tuesday 11 October. Last year more than 300 people attended the ceremony, which attracted many of the senior decision makers who are the driving force of the online industry.

At last year’s awards, judges praised Wiggle’s phenomenal growth in overseas business in crowning the Portsmouth-based company winners of the Cross Border e-Retail Award (renamed International e-Retail Award for 2011). In the Best Large Online Retailer category, judges will be looking for excellent choice, user experience and strong sales as well as evidence of true innovation and market leadership.
Wiggle is no stranger to awards success and recognition – it has been named Britain’s most visited bike website on several occasions by Experian Hitwise UK and has also been voted as the UK’s Top Sports and Leisure Site by readers of consumer magazine Which? For seven years running it has won Best Mail Order Company in 220 Triathlon Magazine’s awards and has scooped two titles at the BikeBiz Awards.
