The Amica Race Series is all new this year, with a special emphasis on promoting healthy living for the entire family through a series of events countrywide across the US. The 2012 Amica Races Series includes nine sprint distance triathlons of 19.7 miles, each comprised of a half-mile swim, a 16.1-mile bike ride and a 3.1-mile run.
In addition, the events in Las Vegas, Nashville, Charlotte and Boston will each now include a half marathon, a 10K run and kids’ fun run. “With a variety of races emphasizing living a healthy lifestyle, the 2012 Amica Races Series offers something for every member of the family,” said Brewer Rowe of Eident Sports Marketing.
The 2012 Amica Races Series kicks off in May with the Amica 19.7 TexasMan Triathlon in Denton, Texas, and concludes in September with the Amica 19.7 Triathlon in Newport, Rhode Island. The Newport event will feature a US$10,000 professional prize purse.
