This coming weekend, tapping into one of Europe’s most iconic long distance triathlons, Campagnolo is presenting its new range of components created specifically for triathlons and time trials in Nice. Against the backdrop of the Côte d’Azur and coinciding with Ironman Nice – the Vicenza, Italy, based company will reveal its new EPS electronic bar-end controls and the new EPS brake levers in a preview presentation to the specialist European press.
Coinciding its European press launch with the Ironman Nice event, which takes place on 24 June, reinforces the importance of triathlon, and specifically long course racing, to the Italian groupset manufacturer.
Less than a year since the launch of the EPS Electronic Power Shift electronic drivetrain, Campagnolo states that it has developed ‘the most advanced electronic technology available today in competition cycling dedicated to Ironman.’
Through collaboration with two of the world’s leading triathlon teams – K-Swiss and TeamTBB – Campagnolo has also developed and now presents a range of new aerodynamic cranksets designed specifically for triathlon and time trial competitions. These cranksets are the new Bullet Ultra (in Power Torque configuration) and Bora Ultra (in Ultra Torque configuration).
According to Campagnolo, the first complete mechanical or electronic Campagnolo drivetrain set has been conceived and built exclusively for the world of triathlon and time trials, and ‘is now ready to equip your aerodynamic bike.’
