On 14 November, the organisers of Elbaman opened entries for the ninth edition of the iron distance and middle distance events, which take place on Elba Island in Italy on 29 September 2013.
Within less than 20 hours of opening up for business, the organisers have reported a doubling of entries – when compared to the first day of event sales this time last year. Given the limited number of slots that are available for the event, more than 100 athletes took the opportunity to sign up early for Elbaman 2013. This compares to 51 entries this time last year.
There are 250 slots for the main, iron distance Elbaman 2013, with 400 slots for Elbaman73 and 35 relay slots on offer.
Elbaman Triathlon Presidente said, “It seems that Elbaman is becoming a milestone in many athletes’ CVs and we are really proud of this.”
Elbaman takes place next September at the Marina di Campo (Elba Island) between Corsica and the western coast of Italy.
