General registration for Ironman Arizona 2013 opened yesterday at noon MST and filled in just 40 seconds. The race is scheduled for Sunday 17 November 2013, and offers 50 age group qualifying slots to the 2014 Ironman World Championship (which takes place on 11 October 2014, in Kailua-Kona, Hawai’i).
Later on in the day, Ironman Foundation slots went on sale; and these also sold out. The rapid filling of Ironman Arizona 2013 follows a similar trend last year – when Ironman Arizona 2012 sold out in less than 10 minutes.
