Oakley is ready to change how sports fans watch the London 2012 Olympic Games with the launch of the Beyond Reason social hub. The Beyond Reason hub enables fans to team up with Oakley triathletes Javier Gomez and Jan Frodeno, alongside French cross-country mountain biker Julien Absalon and others, ‘catching exclusive interviews, photos and videos of the guys as they prepare for the Summer Games.’
Fans can visit the Beyond Reason Hub and choose their favourite athlete by supporting their team during the summer Olympics. After joining a team, fans can show support for their athlete by heading to their Twitter, Facebook or Instagram account and tagging posts, tweets or photos with the hashtag #(NAME)BEYONDREASON.
For example, fans that decide to support Spanish triathlete Javier Gomez, simply tag social media content with #JAVIERBEYONDREASON. The more that fans use their athlete’s hashtag and share their content, the more points they will earn for their athlete.
At the time of writing, Oakley’s Beyond Reason social media initiative had 1.5K Facebook likes and 780 Tweets.
