A Helmet for Heroes up for grabs

In 2012, pro triathlete Timothy O’Donnell (TO) recruited top professional triathletes to autograph a custom-painted Rudy Project Wingspan helmet to benefit Team RWB – whose mission is ‘to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity.’

The helmet has been signed by a stellar line up of triathletes…
Timothy O’Donnell, Mirinda Carfrae, Craig Alexander, Chris McCormack, Michael Lovato, Amanda Lovato, Julie Dibens, Chrissie Wellington, Laura Bennett, Greg Bennett, Matt Reed, Sheila Taormina, Meredith Kessler and Jessica Jacobs.

To coincide with the Team RWB National Tri Camp this coming weekend, the Helmet For Heroes is now up for auction on eBay. The auction closes Monday 15 April.

At the time of writing, the Helmet for Heroes bidding had reached US$455. As the auction closes next Monday, triathletes keen to support a worthy cause and get their hands on a unique skid lid are encouraged to get bidding!!

Team RWB is transforming the way that America supports its veterans when they return from combat. The organisation is creating communities of veterans, their families, and American citizens. Together these groups can enjoy authentic interaction through physical and social activities at events all across the US.
