Miami Tri Events continues to expand. As organizer of the 2575 Triathlon Series, the company looks to combine its love of the sport with unique courses to create an unforgettable experience for participants. The Florida-based event organiser notes that the sport of triathlon is one of the fastest growing sports on the planet; and it aims to match triathlon’s rate of growth with new events outside the US.
Miami Tri Events notes that most triathletes participate in sprint-distance triathlons. With this in mind, the 2575 Series aims to capture the interest of the widest possible base of athletes, and is thus growing in popularity both nationally and internationally.
The series offers athletes a wide variety of race cities. In 2014, the 2575 Series is transcending current borders by announcing new races in Niteroi, Brazil, and St Kitts in the Caribbean. Expanding internationally allows for explorations of new markets and further promotes the series on a worldwide scale.
The company notes that international races generate tourism and economic in-flows into the cities hosting the events. This helps to strengthen public financial management at international, regional and local levels.
The 2575 series aims to take the sport of triathlon to a different level. Not only are athletes encouraged to finish the race, but they are faced with the challenge: ‘Are you the fastest?’ The challenge is open to everyone. From amateurs racing in their first event, to professionals that are seeking to be stretched to the best of their abilities and prove that they have what it takes to finish first.
Athletes that participate in the series may qualify for the Club Med 2575 Championship at the Sandpiper Bay Club Med Resort in Port St Lucie, Florida. This year’s championship race will take place on 15 September 2013. In order to qualify, athletes must place in the top five for either their age group or category in a previous 2575 Triathlon Series event. Once qualified, the athletes race to prove they are really the fastest of the fast. This September, athletes from a range of international markets will gather at Sandpiper Bay and put their skills to the test.
Miami Tri Events notes that the market for sports events continues to increase. It cites that ‘90% of athletes that participate in a triathlon do another one within the year.’ Tapping into this ‘repeat mindset’, the 2575 series ‘promotes a life full of athletic challenges and a test of athletes’ physical abilities, whilst raisign awareness towards the benefits and the importance of being healthy.’
Miami Tri Events is eager to see the continued development of the 2575 Triathlon Series. The series has further expansion plans; and it is projected to travel to different countries in search of athletes that will take up the challenge: ‘Are you the fastest?’
