As participation in triathlons and other endurance events hits an all-time high, BodyPower, the UK’s largest fitness and nutrition expo, is making a play for endurance sports with its recently confirmed ‘Endurance City’ area.
Traditionally home to the world of bodybuilding and mixed martial arts (MMA) – BodyPower is ramping up its remit to endurance sport for 2013. Taking place on 17-19 May 2013, BodyPower has partnered on Endurance City with leading UK triathlon mag 220 Triathlon.
Shaping up to be ‘an exciting zone of interactive challenges’, Endurance City is accessible to all levels of athletes wanting to test out their endurance capabilities amongst a crowd of fitness enthusiasts.
Exhibitor and total body workout machine specialist Versaclimber UK will be running one zone within Endurance City. This offers show visitors the chance to ‘Climb Nelson’s Column’ or take on the dizzy heights of the Eiffel Tower, for a place on the all-important leader board.
Endurance City is also set to host an indoor biathlon which involves a 2.5K run & a 10K cycle. Show visitors will also have the opportunity to take on both distance and time trials across the range of bikes, running machines and rowing machines on show.
BodyPower will also offer endurance athletes the opportunity to attend seminars and workshops on all aspects of sports performance, from biomechanics to nutrition. These sessions are in place to increase knowledge and enable show visitors to take their training to the next level, in order to optimise performance.
BodyPower tickets are available now to consumers from £19.50.
