Interbike, the largest bicycle industry trade show in North America, has renewed its agreement with the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Southern Nevada. This latest deal, building on a previous collaboration between the two organisations, will allow registered participants in the RTC Viva Bike Vegas 2013 Gran Fondo Pinarello event admission to the annual bike industry trade show on Friday 20 September 2013.
Viva Bike Vegas participants will pay a fee for entry, and will be given access to the show from 11:00 to 18:00 local time. This access is different than the full day (09:00 – 18:00) access that will be granted to Interbike by Invitation guests. Interbike by Invitation guests will also receive special promotional items, separate registration and more as part of their package.
“We view the Viva Bike Vegas event as the ultimate culmination of a week-long celebration of cycling,” said Pat Hus, Managing Director of Interbike. “The RTC has done such a great job with this event and it has been growing nicely year after year for the last six years.
“The participation numbers are significant and now with the event taking place on the Saturday after the show, it just makes sense to invite this group to Interbike. The Gran Fondo customer is a passionate cycling enthusiast and exactly who we want in the halls.”
Hus added that the move to partner with RTC for Interbike’s invited-guest day brings more cycling enthusiasts to interact with exhibitors and ultimately helps create demand to be driven through the retail channel.
“The RTC values its relationship with Interbike and we’re thrilled to be able to offer our rider participants access to their invited-guest day,” said Tina Quigley, General Manager of the RTC. “We believe this is the icing on the cake for our participants, and will help us offer our riders the ultimate bicycle experience.”
The RTC Viva Bike Vegas 2013 Gran Fondo Pinarello offers road cycling routes for all skill levels, including a 103 mile Gran Fondo, a 60 mile Metric Century and a 17-mile ride. All routes will begin on the iconic Las Vegas Strip, and the longer routes will traverse the beautiful Las Vegas valley, bringing riders into the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and near Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
Upon completing the Viva Bike Vegas registration, participants will be given a unique code and a link to the Interbike registration page that will allow them to register for the show. Official registration for all Interbike attendees is scheduled to open on 15 April 2013.
