Ironman Foundation slots, to raise money for worthy causes, are now sold out at Ironman Coeur d’Alene. Set in one of the most picturesque parts of the United States, Ironman Coeur d’Alene, taking place on 23 June 2013, is a popular destination event for athletes and their families.
The first Ironman Coeur d’Alene kicked off in 2003. Last summer, Ironman brand owner World Triathlon Corp (WTC) confirmed that the event will be a mainstay in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, for another five years thanks to a contract extension announced just ahead of the event in June 2012.
Philanthropy and racing
Since its inception in 2003, the Ironman Foundation has made philanthropic contributions of more than US$10 million to numerous non-profit beneficiaries worldwide. The Ironman Foundation is a US registered 501(c)(3) organisation and provides an opportunity for Ironman athletes to help those in the communities that support Ironman events.
US residents who purchase Ironman Foundation slots will receive a tax-deduction in the amount of incremental registration price over general entry.
There are limited Ironman Foundation entries available for certain North American full-distance races, including Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas, Ironman Mont-Tremblant, Ironman Canada and Ironman Wisconsin.
