OGIO bags ‘big sexy’ sponsorship with Ironman pro Chris McDonald

OGIO, the official bag of choice for professional cycling teams Argos Shimano and Jamis Hagens Bermen, has confirmed its sponsorship of Ironman Champion, Chris ‘Big Sexy’ McDonald. In 2002, Chris started competing in triathlons, and began his professional racing career in April 2004. Since then, he has gone on to race in 40 Ironman races, winning six and finishing in the top 10 a total of 32 times.

His most recent victory came at Ironman Lake Tahoe on 21 September 2013, where he had his second win in 28 days.

Originally from Albury, Australia, Chris now divides his time between Austin, Texas, and Boulder, Colorado. He started an elite racing team, BSR-BIG SEXY RACING, in January 2013. BSR is made up of 45 members, hand selected by Chris based on race results, community outreach efforts and social media involvement.

All team members serve as brand ambassadors for their sponsoring companies. The team will be expanded to 100 members in 2014.

OGIO International was born 25 years ago with the invention of the Locker Bag, the innovative ‘fit to gym locker bag’ designed to keep fitness enthusiasts on the go and organized. That heritage evolved over the years as OGIO continued to design uniquely styled sports performance bags.

OGIO’s current Endurance collection was specifically designed for triathletes, runners, cyclist and fitness enthusiasts and combines the ultimate in light weight yet durable materials with intelligent designs that offer a combination of protection, comfort and organization.
