Full service US triathlon and bike store, Playtri, has recently signed a 10,908 sq ft retail lease on a building in McKinney, Texas. According to the company, following its scheduled opening in May, the new Playtri store will become ‘the largest triathlon store, offering the most bikes, gear and tools for triathletes, in the world.’
The Playtri Store – located at 7951 Collin McKinney Parkway (Times Square at Craig Ranch) in McKinney, Texas – will feature an extensive triathlon retail store space and the only full service Shimano Service Center in the Metroplex.
Playtri notes that its retail philosophy is very unique in the industry by matching a customer’s individual and specific goals to triathlon. Playtri’s onsite coaches and sports nutritionists deliver personalized health counselling, expert training and various fitness testing at the store’s Performance Center. The retailer’s new facility will be a ‘must see’ for triathletes that visit the North Texas area.
“This opening marks a continuing expansion for us – we already have a store in Dallas and we are looking to open additional locations throughout the DFW Metroplex this year,” said Ahmed Zaher, Playri Founder. “Our company goal is to make a healthy lifestyle through triathlon a mainstream way of life.”
Playtri is known for its individualized customer service and retail policy such as a 30-day exchange program on bikes and wheels. The policy allows a customer to purchase any new bike or new set of wheels and exchange them for equal or lesser value at no charge within 30 days.
Playtri’s staff are triathletes and they also understand that each individual is different. The staff set up an Individual Plan for Playtri customers. This helps the athlete to reach their individual goal by focusing on the correct training program, group class, personalized nutrition assistance and of course finding the right bike, wheel set, and accessories to reach their specific goal.
