Reshuffle of XTERRA regions in the US

Last year due to the lack of XTERRA Points Series races in the Northeast United States, the Northeast and Atlantic regions merged into one super-sized region. This year, with the addition of the inaugural XTERRA French River off-road tri in Boston, Massachusetts, and the return of XTERRA Garnet Hill in New York, the Northeast has six races, enough to re-establish the Northeast region.

XTERRA’s new regional structure is therefore as follows:

  • NORTHEAST (NE) – Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York
  • ATLANTIC (AT) – Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington DC
  • SOUTHEAST (SE) – Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands
  • MIDWEST (MW) – Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky
  • SOUTHCENTRAL (SC) – Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas
  • MOUNTAIN (MT) – Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming
  • NORTHWEST (NW) – Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska
  • WEST (W) – California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Pacific Territories
