ROTOR cranks up distribution in the US

ROTOR Bike Components – the Spanish cycling component specialist and developer of products such as Q-Rings oval chainrings and 3D cranks – is opening a USA brand management office in Boulder, Colorado, to support its regional distributors. This subsidiary will focus purely on market development in North America, with sales of ROTOR products continuing via distribution partners.

Veteran staff member Phillip Lucas will lead this important step into the US market as USA Brand Manager. According to the company, this underlines a commitment made possible by the growth of ROTOR and driven by a strategic focus on the North American market.

Phillip Lucas, 33, will run the Boulder-based ROTOR subsidiary. An avid cyclist, he has played a key role in the growth of ROTOR since joining the company in 2005. He has held many influential roles, amongst which Global Market Development and Sales Manager, making him ideal for the job.

“I’m looking forward to collaborating with our distributors to achieve ROTOR’s full potential, building on the quality work done by our distributor up to today” said Lucas. “North American cyclists openly embrace exciting new technologies, plus they’re passionate about their sport and discerning with its brands. I’m confident that as familiarity with ROTOR and its thought leading concepts grows, the realization will come that our products are a smart choice for cyclists of all levels; designed to boost your capacity to perform, improve your comfort and increase the size of the grin on your face”.
