Triathlon Business International (TBI) is scouring the US and overseas looking for triathlon events that are the ‘Triathlete’s Choice’. Whether large or small, TBI wants to hear from triathletes about events that challenge, inspire, fulfil dreams, offer an awesome experience, give out great stuff, bring out the best in you or make you feel like you’ve conquered the world!
TBI is calling on all triathletes to voice their opinion. Winners in the following categories will be honoured at the 2014 Annual TBI Conference, on 26-28 January 2014 in Marina del Rey, California. The award winners will share the stage at the ACTIVE Network Awards Celebration with the best retailers, products, triathletes and triathlon media stories and photographs in the world.

- Best Large Race (1,000+ registrants)
- Best Small Race (<1,000 registrants)
- Toughest Race – Best Bragging Rights
- Best Urban Race
- Best Race for Beginners
- Most Scenic Race
- Bucket List Race
- Best SWAG
- Best Race Series
- Best Draft-legal Race
Young, old, pro or weekend warrior triathletes, regardless of whether someone competes for a spot on the podium, for fitness, recreation or just socializing with friends, TBI wants to hear from everyone who participates in multisport.
The deadline is 24 December 2013 to nominate a memorable event. Athletes can vote in just one category or nominate an event in every category.
The TBI conference will be packed full of information and opportunities for everyone involved in the business and sport of triathlon. Some of the other activities for this year’s TBI Conference include:
- Keynote speakers Anita DeFrantz, Jack Caress, Travis Tygart, Gary Roethenbaugh, Thom Richmond
- Three event directors-track panels
- Eight general session panels
- Speed networking – one of the most popular sessions of the previous conferences
- Technology demonstrations
- F.I.S.T. bike fit demonstration by Dan Empfield
- ACTIVE X Workouts; running, cycling trails; swimming at Mother’s Beach outside the door of the hotel
- Hospitality events
- The ACTIVE Network Awards Celebration including announcement of top retailers, top manufacturers, best triathlon article, best triathlon photograph and the male and female Ron Smith Award winners

Registration includes all conference events, meals and one ticket to the Awards Celebration. Non-member registration includes a 1-year TBI membership.
