Throughout its 80 year history Campagnolo has ‘recognized the value of the local bike shop for the role it plays in growing cycling at a local level as well as promoting the Campagnolo brand closest to our faithful consumers’ homes.’
Several years ago the Campagnolo Pro Shop network was established in order to identify those stores that went above and beyond the normal role of a Campagnolo dealer and guaranteed a certain level of expertise as well as the certainty to stock a wide variety of products.
Within this group of stores, Campagnolo notes that there are several that stand out for going even further than even the most enthusiastic dealer. In an effort to identify these stellar shops, the Campy CODE project was born.
The official launch of the Campy CODE project took place towards the end of 2012 and was limited to the Italian market. The idea behind Campy CODE was to identify those stores that go to great lengths not only to provide exceptional service and guarantee that product is always on hand, but also in recognition of those outlets that act as a sort of Campagnolo ambassador in the field.
On the heels of a successful year in the Italian market, the Campy CODE project will now spread with hopes of replicating this same success internationally. The objective is to spread through specially selected dealers the core values of the company: Passion, Technology, Performance and Reliability.
Campy CODE dealers undergo special training that goes above and beyond Campagnolo’s pro shop training – in order to ensure the utmost expertise in all things Campagnolo. Campy CODE retailers are also given early access to test and receive information on the newest Campagnolo technologies.
In short, ‘the Campy CODE dealers will be the closest thing to visiting Campagnolo HQ that can be found outside of Vicenza.’
The global Campy CODE expansion is set to take off in the near future and the company suggests that riders and retailers stay tuned to the Campagnolo website for updates to the dealer locator to find the nearest international Campy ambassador.
