The International Cycling Union, Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), has confirmed that digital solutions specialist deltatre will accompany UCI in ‘the conception, the launch and the direction of its new on-line portal, which will be up and running this summer.’
The agreement with deltatre – specialists chosen by some of the biggest international sports federations to provide digital solutions – is in line with UCI’s wish, driven by President Brian Cookson, to modernise and develop cycling with up-to-date tools, new technology and the latest means of communication.
Thanks to this collaboration with deltatre, the future UCI Internet site ‘will be the showcase of our sport, promoting the whole range of activities for all our disciplines.’
With deltatre, UCI means to highlight cycling’s sporting heritage, for example leading events on the calendar such as World Championships and World Cups, and promote the commercial appeal of cycling for all sportsmen and sportswomen.
UCI Director General Martin Gibbs said “I am delighted by this new partnership, which will bring expertise to our digital strategy. Our member federations as well as fans and the whole cycling family are expecting us to be at the cutting edge of innovation and to provide maximum visibility for our federations, events and partners. With deltatre we will fulfil their expectations.”
