Award winning wetsuit brand HUUB is expanding its international profile by signing up a host of foreign athletes who will be competing in triathlon events across the globe in 2014 – sporting HUUB’s latest triathlon wetsuits.
In tandem with its new athlete sponsorships, HUUB is developing its network of international distributors including South Africa, Australia – where it claims to already be the second leading wetsuit brand for triathletes – and throughout Europe.
To support its international expansion, HUUB has joined forces with a number of established and up and coming triathletes. These include South African athletes Richard Murray, Henri Schoeman and Wian Sullwald as well as Russian brothers Denis and Ivan Vasiliev who are all achieving recognition in the International Triathlon Union (ITU) circuit.
HUUB founder and Managing Director Dean Jackson said “Triathletes are obviously very discerning when it comes to their choice of equipment and are looking for the best. We are therefore delighted that they have chosen HUUB as the wetsuit that they will be wearing for competitions throughout the world.”
He continued, “The calibre of athletes in our stable will ensure that HUUB wetsuits are worn by the triathletes who are among the first out of the water in competitions. This valuable exposure will be an important element in our expansion as we look to increase our international market share.”
Wetsuit and apparel specialist HUUB has a vision to create better products combining research, science and reality. Team HUUB has four decades worth of experience gained in the field of endurance sports. Focusing wholly on the athlete and maximizing performance and comfort, the HUUB team ‘explores both the odd and the conventional to create the best.’
According to the company, ‘We are not slaves to fashion, but to form, fit and performance. We believe quite simply that we have delivered what competitors want. What’s more, we know our suits work, because the science says so.’
The HUUB team understands the specialist technical and scientific fields associated with triathlon, including hydrodynamics and swim stroke analysis. From smart scientist Huub Toussaint, clever SwimSmooth guys Adam Young and Paul Newsome to pragmatist Dean Jackson, the HUUB brand is focused on bringing cutting edge innovation to its products, whilst retaining a sense of reality and accessibility.
HUUB wetsuits, clothing accessories and goggles are worn by such sporting stars as Olympic London 2012 medallists Jonathan and Alistair Brownlee, Richard Varga (fastest swimmer in ITU triathlon), Clayton Fettel (Australian long course star), Frederik Van Lierde (Ironman World Champion), Caroline ‘Xena’ Steffen, Catorina Morrison, Richard Murray, Henri Schoeman and Wian Sullwald.
