Muc-Off Media, the video and media production team at lube specialist Muc-Off, has pulled together a video that focuses on chain lube efficiency and how this affects the performance of professional road cycling teams.
Muc-Off Media followed Team Sky, IAM Cycling and Rapha Condor JLT throughout the recent Tour of Britain documenting what their ‘perfect Formula to Success is’.
All three teams are using lubricants specifically designed for their riders to help save valuable watts and place their team at front of the peloton. Muc-Off’s athletes had a successful week at the Tour of Britain with Matthias Brandle taking two stage victories and Bradley Wiggins using Muc-Off’s TT specific wax to claim the individual time trial. (He, of course, later went on to scoop a World Championship win in Ponferrada, Spain.)
Muc-Off notes that every professional road team knows the importance of marginal gains. Muc-Off hasinvested heavily in innovative new lubricants to help place its sponsored teams at the front of the peloton.
All of Muc-Off’s partner teams are using newly formulated Muc-Off lubricants that ‘save watts and help the teams save those valuable seconds in each race.’
For more information on how Muc-Off’s Research and Development team test chain lube efficiency, an earlier video produced back in August, The Long Road To Innovation, charts the ‘quest for chain efficiency perfection’.
