Spanish bike operator Orbea has announced the appointment of BikeBox as exclusive distributor for Orbea products in the Australian market.
Commencing formally on 1 July 2014, BikeBox will take exclusive responsibility for the sale and distribution of all Orbea products – continuing to provide technical support and warranty service to new and existing customers.
BikeBox has a strong history in the wholesale cycling industry and has been importing and distributing bicycle parts and accessories in Australia since 2002. Santiago Campo, current General Manager of Orbea Australia, will join BikeBox, bringing his expertise of the Orbea brand.

In May this year, Mallabia-based Orbea presented the new 2015 Orbea range to import and distribution companies in key markets across the Americas, Asia and Europe.
For a number of years, import and third party distribution companies have been main sources of earnings for Spain’s Orbea. Turnover from sales in international markets amounted to 20% of total business revenue. With this in mind, and planning for 2015, Orbea is down laying the foundations for the success of next year’s range early this season.
