Project Sport partners with VO2MAX SPORTS to train on heart rate and metabolism

Northern California events company Project Sport has forged a partnership with VO2MAX SPORTS, a health and wellness company that caters to different markets in the sports community. VO2MAX SPORTS will provide specialist, complimentary training plans for Project Sport event participants, along with roadside cycling assistance on all 2014 rides and information at all 2014 Project Sport event expos.

“We know that training and preparation for a run or ride is equally as important as the event day experience,” said Ryan Dawkins, President of Project Sport. “Thanks to VO2MAX SPORTS, our participants can expect to be fully equipped with resources to succeed before, during and after they embark on a Project Sport production.”

VO2MAX SPORTS develops individualized training programs based on an athlete’s heart rate and metabolism. This approach ultimately enables ‘athletes to run, cycle and swim more efficiently and with less pain.’

Athletes participating in Echelon Ride to Revel Cycling Series; The Town’s Half Marathon in Oakland, California; The US Half Marathon in San Francisco and The San Francisco Turkey Trot will have access to complimentary VO2MAX Sports training programs via each event’s website.

“We at VO2MAX Sports are extremely excited about our partnership with Project Sport,” said Michael Tatum, Managing Director at VO2MAX Sports.

“We believe Project Sport is the industry’s best production company for providing participants and the community with a truly authentic and world-class experience. We love that they have the community in mind like we do and know this partnership will enable more athletes to understand their own biochemical makeup enabling them to reach their goals and ultimately live a healthier lifestyle,” Tatum added.

Project Sport is a business unit of OmniForce and its RaceForce subsidiary.

The partnership between Project Sport and VO2MAX Sports is the latest in a series of strategic investments powered by RaceForce, a leading endurance and athletic event production company based in Los Angeles.

RaceForce leverages a world-wide network of events and resources to support the active lifestyle industry in areas such as strategic marketing, sponsorship acquisition and production support. RaceForce also invests in events, creates new events and collaborates with event owners to deploy support where needed while maintaining the event’s grassroots identity.
