With Ironman UK selling out rapidly, over a weekend, for 2014 and pre-registrations for the new Ironman 70.3 Staffordshire more than twice the expected event capacity, the team at Ironman UK is giving athletes who would want to race both events in 2015 the chance to secure their entries now. A Race Ready package has now gone on sale, from today at 09:00 GMT, Monday 14 July, for 24 hours.
The organising team notes that the ‘Race Ready 2015 Ironman UK / Ironman 70.3 Staffordshire’ package offers the perfect set-up in the UK: priority entry into both Ironman UK Bolton on Sunday 19 July 2015 and its ‘preparation race’, Ironman 70.3 Staffordshire on 14 June 2015.
Kevin Stewart of Ironman UK said “We have reacted to the huge demand to race Ironman in the UK to ensure that athletes who would plan a 70.3 five to eight weeks prior, as part of their preparation for a full distance race, find that they have an entry for one but not the other. This package offers them the opportunity to plan ahead and they don’t need to be waiting by their computer when entries open for each event.”
A limited number of pre-launch slots have been made available ahead of the general release for Ironman UK next Monday 21 July at 16:00. The cost of the Package is £620 plus 6% Active registration fee, which covers registration costs for both events (Ironman UK 2015 in Bolton £395; Ironman 70.3 Staffordshire £225).
