SLS3, the manufacturer of triathlon and compression sportswear, is rolling out a new line of technical sport accessories. One of the first items to hit the market is an LED Hipster Belt with a pocket that holds all items that may be needed by a runner, or a cyclist, such as a cell phone, MP3 player, keys, energy gels or ID.
“We took your regular running belt with a pocket and included an LED system which comes in five different colours (red, blue, orange, pink and green) for added security,” said Sebastian Linke, owner of SLS3.
The LED system is powered by two small batteries which last up to 80 hours and can be easily replaced.
“As a working athlete it is not always possible to squeeze in a workout during the day and after several workouts in dusk and dawn, we realized the importance of a security feature for athletes that are working out in these conditions,” added Linke.
SLS3 notes that the belt is suited for runners, triathletes, as well as cyclists, and the company hopes to keep them ‘a little bit safer during their workouts while still being able to carry their necessary items in a non-bouncing belt.’
SLS3 manufactures specialist sport compression and triathlon race apparel. All products aim to enhance performance with an emphasis on technical design for comfort. The company’s goal is ‘to produce the best possible products to serve our customers who are looking for comfort and performance.’
‘Made in USA’ is an important part of the company’s triathlon apparel line, as it has made a commitment to production of its apparel in the US. SLS3 hires local staff and purchases its materials ‘from the highest quality vendors available.’
