Leading compression brand, SKINS, has announced the hiring of David I as the company’s new Sales Director. David is ‘responsible for creating and delivering fundamental sales strategies to help SKINS retailers maximize their business and sales growth.’

“I’m thrilled to join the team here at SKINS during this exciting time, as we embark on taking the brand to the next level,” said David. “As our new campaign states, ‘S***S About to Change,’ and I am looking forward to being a part of the journey.”

David is a veteran Sales Director in the sports industry, with over 20 years of experience working with various notable brands such as Arnette, Briko, 180s, and most recently with Seirus Innovation. In his spare time, David is an avid surfer, golfer and BMX racer. David brings a wealth of sales expertise to SKINS, in addition to strong retailer and industry relationships.

“David’s expertise in the sports industry, combined with his sales experience makes him the perfect individual for this new role,” said Johnny West, General Manager at SKINS North America. “His strong retailer and industry relationships will be a great asset for the brand and we couldn’t be more excited to have him join the team.”

SKINS compression wear is designed to help athletes reach their peak performance with products developed for specific sports and levels of activity. The technology-driven compression garments are specifically designed to compress muscle groups to trigger acceleration in blood flow, resulting in increased oxygen to working muscles and maximized performance.

Originally developed in Australia in 1996, the SKINS brand was designed to take on a massive challenge: create a sports garment that improved performance and aided recovery. SKINS invested heavily in research to make this happen and is now ‘Australia’s leading therapeutic compression brand and is gaining similar recognition around the world.’

SKINS compression wear is popularly-known to reduce exercise-induced muscle damage, a key factor in promoting active recovery. ‘Whatever the sport, SKINS allows athletes to train harder, compete longer and recover faster.’

SKINS is worn by professional athletes and active consumers worldwide including cyclists, runners, and triathletes, such as Olympic sailor and CrossFit competitor Anna Tunnicliffe, professional triathletes Kevin Collington and Mary Beth Ellis; and former Ironman World Champion Leanda Cave. SKINS best-in-class gradient compression is supplied to top professional teams across many disciplines of sport, including professional cycling team Lotto Belisol, and throughout the NFL, NBA, and NHL with exclusive partnership of the Anaheim Ducks hockey team.
