TriggerPoint Performance Therapy has announced an open call for applications from triathlon and cycling athletes looking to secure a spot on the inaugural 2014 Team TriggerPoint. The team will be managed in conjunction with Plaid Sports Marketing, a sports marketing firm with a history in managing teams, who will handle the day-to-day team operations and athlete support.
Team members will race in custom TriggerPoint Performance Therapy kits and enjoy membership perks, including products and education from TriggerPoint and other team partners, such as Fuel Belt, Road ID and ISM Saddles.
“Our roots are in the multi-sport arena, where TriggerPoint started more than 12 years ago,” said Cassidy Phillips, CEO and Founder of TriggerPoint Performance Therapy. “Since then, we have continually strived to empower athletes of all levels to move better through our premium, innovative products and education. Triathletes and endurance athletes have really embraced the power of our products and it’s important that we give back to the community that first believed in us.”
Athletes will be expected to give back to the multisport community through event participation, volunteerism and acting as a positive brand ambassador in their daily training, racing and social media activity.
Applications will be accepted starting now through to 25 July 2014. An official team launch will occur in conjunction with Interbike 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and a team camp is planned for this autumn/fall. Interested athletes can apply online here.
