Trek has unveiled Silque, an all-new women’s endurance road bike that provides ‘the perfect balance of smoothness and power for female road riders the world over.’ Each bike is equipped with Trek’s World Tour-proven IsoSpeed decoupler, doubling vertical compliance and improving overall performance.
The women’s size-specific custom Ride Tuned OCLV Carbon frame is designed for women to ride smoother, longer, and faster than ever before.
“The Silque takes the customization of women’s road bikes to a new level,” said Trek Women’s Product Manager Amanda Schulze. “When comparing female and male athletes on the same frame size, professional training data shows that most female athletes place less stress on the frame. Knowing this, we designed a size-specific frame to compliment a woman’s power to weight ratio, delivering the perfect balance of smoothness and power at every frame size.”
After months of testing different geometry configurations, Trek has developed a new women’s specific geometry for Silque that ‘puts the rider in a position of power’. Compared to previous generations of WSD geometry, Silque frames feature a shorter seat tube for more standover, slightly more stack, and a longer wheelbase, giving it the stability of Trek’s popular endurance line Domane while retaining the lively ride qualities of Trek’s aero road line, Madone.
One of the most popular cycling brands among female cyclists, Trek has over 14 years of experience designing bikes and equipment to meet female riders’ unique needs.
Key to the Silque’s performance qualities is a combination of elements; 3S chainkeeper, internal cable routing, and a gearing range to ensure confident and precise shifting.
Four Silque models are available now through Trek’s global retailer network. Silque is also available for customization through Trek’s custom bike program, Project One.
