Trek’s Race Shop Limited spins out Domane Koppenberg

Trek Bicycle is unveiling a new version of its popular Domane endurance race bike, the Trek Factory Racing team-issue Domane Koppenberg. ‘The latest addition to Trek’s collection of race-proven equipment, Race Shop Limited, Domane Koppenberg has already been raced on the most gruelling of parcours, having been ridden by Fabian Cancellara to his electrifying 2014 Ronde van Vlaanderen victory.’

Domane Koppenberg will be offered globally as a frameset in limited quantities and only in Trek Factory Racing paint.

The geometry of Domane Koppenberg is Trek’s H1 geometry found on the recently released Émonda SLR making it the choice of Trek Factory Racing riders tackling longer races including the Grand Tours. “This is absolutely the best bike I’ve ever ridden,” said Trek Factory Racing’s Fabian Cancellara.

“Working on developing the Domane was a huge thing for me and we keep pushing the design further every year. Every time we are getting closer to perfect but we will never stop making this bike better.”

The Domane Koppenberg has been raced to victory at the New Zealand National Championship (Hayden Roulston), Tour of Luxembourg prologue (Danny van Poppel), Stage 1 Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen (Danny van Poppel), Stage 3 Tour de San Luis (Giacomo Nizzolo), Stage 5 Österreich Rundfahrt (Jesse Sergent), in addition to the 2014 Ronde van Vlaanderen.

Race Shop Limited is Trek’s collection of equipment previously reserved for cycling’s biggest stages now available to riders everywhere. The collection features frames, wheels, parts, and accessories from Trek and Bontrager, with new items added as they are proven at the pinnacle of the sport.

Race Shop Limited products are ‘curated as they are created for the world’s best athletes, and made available in limited quantities exclusively through Trek’s global retailer network.’ Domane Koppenberg will retail in the US for US$4,199.99.
