VOS Media, organiser of the new Triathlon Plus Show – Driven by SEAT, has unveiled announce a number of key additions to the show taking place at ExCeL London next month on 13–16 February 2014.
Brooks puts best foot forward
Leading UK running shoe brand, Brooks, has confirmed that it will be exhibiting at the Triathlon Plus Show.
Occupying a large space at the show, Brooks will be displaying its full range of trainers and running apparel. Visitors will have the opportunity to have professional trainer fittings so that they can walk away with ‘the perfect trainer ahead of the new triathlon season.’
Michael East, Marketing Manager for Brooks in the UK, said “I’m really looking forward to exhibiting at the Triathlon Plus Show this February. I’ve seen the success and growth of The London Bike Show since its launch four years ago and I’m confident that the Triathlon Plus Show will follow this pattern. I’m delighted to be a part of it. ExCeL is an excellent venue and well-known to triathletes which is a key factor for me.”
He continued, “The extensive marketing campaign, which includes the backing of The Telegraph, will help to promote triathlon to a national audience. This means that Brooks will not only be reaching the existing triathlon audience by exhibiting at the show, but will also be able to promote and sell to a new audience of potential triathletes. This is important as it helps us to grow our brand and the sport of triathlon.”
Large swimming pool to form centrepiece
VOS Media will be installing a 21m x 15m pool, which will be the focal point of the show. Expert coaches from Swim For Tri will offer visitors the opportunity to take part in coaching sessions in the large pool – billed as a first for a triathlon exhibition.
Visitors will be able to take part in one-to-one swim coaching sessions, where their technique will be broken down and rebuilt to improve their performance, or to take part in a group swim masterclass which can accommodate up to 20 triathletes per session. Swim For Tri will also offer demonstrations so that those not in the water can benefit from their tips and advice.
Both the one to one and group coaching sessions must be booked in advance alongside a ticket as places are limited.
The organisers note that the Triathlon Plus Show – Driven by SEAT, is moving from strength to strength as the opening day draws nearer, with a range of triathlon brands and race organisers attending, as well as a great line-up of speakers on the P20 Sun Protection Experts Theatre.
Geraldine Reeve, Triathlon Plus Show Director, said “I’m really pleased with the development of the show since we announced the launch six months ago. Brooks are a great addition to our exhibitor line-up and I’m looking forward to putting on a show that they, and our other exhibitors, will be proud of.
“The large swimming pool is another great complement to the visitor offering already in place. Now show attendees can learn more about and improve on each aspect of triathlon with coaching in the 21m pool and on the 150m running track, as well as bike testing on the 500m Road Cycling UK (RCUK) Cycling Test Track.
“We’re expecting in excess of 50,000 visitors to the event across the four days, many attending specifically for the Triathlon Plus Show, and others visiting as a result of the co-locating London Bike Show and The Telegraph Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show. It’s an exciting time for triathlon in the UK as we launch a new show in London and attract more athletes to the sport.”
