Human Race, ‘the UK’s largest organiser of triathlon, cycling, running and swimming events’, has confirmed that Triathlonguard Insurance is on board as the title partner of the Windsor Triathlon for 2014. In order to celebrate Triathlonguard’s sponsorship of the newly renamed, Triathlonguard Windsor Triathlon, Human Race has opened 50 new places for the previously sold-out event.
The historic and prestigious Triathlonguard Windsor Triathlon, which uniquely takes place on closed roads in the centre of Windsor is planned for Sunday 15 June 2014 and is a popular landmark on many UK triathletes’ calendars.
There are Sprint (750m swim, 30K bike and 5K run) and Olympic (1.5K swim, 42K bike and 10K run) distances on offer in the newest batch of places; however spaces are extremely limited so athletes will need to be quick to claim a spot.
Attracting a mixture of elite and amateur triathletes, the Triathlonguard Windsor Triathlon is ‘Britain’s oldest major triathlon’ and attracts many competitors and spectators who return year-after-year for the unique experience. The event has a gold tier charity partner, Scope and a silver tier charity partner, CLIC Sargent – meaning that the Triathlonguard Windsor Triathlon 2014 will also see hundreds of fundraisers take to the start line.
The Triathlonguard Windsor Triathlon, which is televised on Channel 4 will celebrate its 25th year in 2015, so athletes who don’t manage to get a spot in this year’s event should keep their eyes peeled for ‘some exciting quarter century celebrations and promotions to be announced soon after this year’s event.’
