Apparel and wetsuit specialist TYR Sport is ‘elated to announce it has re-signed Jodie Swallow to the company’s athletic arsenal.’
As the company continues to add, ‘TYR is happy to have Swallow on its team, as she adds strength, endurance and diverse talent to the mix.’
The re-signing of Jodie Swallow follows recent confirmation that TYR has forged a new deal with Olympic triathlete Sarah Haskins. This reignited a long-standing sponsor arrangement, which dates as far back as 2010 – when TYR confirmed a multi-year partnership with USA elite Sarah Haskins.
TYR also recently confirmed a multi-year, ‘title sponsorship deal’ with two-time Ironman World Champion Mirinda ‘Rinny’ Carfrae. Previously, the company served as Carfrae’s swim sponsor.
Kicking off 2014 with a bang, Jodie Swallow took her fourth consecutive women’s title at Ironman 70.3 South Africa. In total, she has earned eight podium finishes at Ironman 70.3 races, seven of which were first place.
This past weekend, she took third place at Ironman South Africa, where she had the fastest female swim of the race, with a time of 00:48:34.
Swallow’s athletic accomplishments include winning Ironman Sweden 2013, finishing third overall at the 2012 ITU Long Distance Triathlon World Championships, winning the 2010 Ironman 70.3 World Championships and representing Great Britain at the 2004 Olympics.
