Z3ROD will be the headline partner of the Club Relays – the Triathlon England National Club Relay Championships. The festival style event in Nottingham, UK, sees clubs from across the country compete for Triathlon England titles in men’s, women’s and mixed team categories.
Now in its 24th year, the Z3ROD Club Relays take place over the August Bank Holiday, 23-24 August 2014. As well as teams competing for national titles, the event is popular thanks to a festival atmosphere with on-site camping and triathletes from across the country enjoying the traffic-free competition environment at the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham.
Complimenting its ties with the national governing body, British Triathlon, Z3ROD is seen as an ideal partner for the relays. The partnership includes incentives for team managers taking responsibility for entering multiple teams and the inclusion of entrants in Z3ROD’s national prize draw, which is being launched soon ‘offering money-can’t-buy prizes’.
Tim Williams of Z3ROD said “It’s great to be involved in a national championship event. The Z3ROD Club Relays offer everything that our sport is about – fun, friendship and fierce competition.”
Event Director, Iain Hamilton, said “We’re delighted to be working with Z3ROD and Triathlon England on this event. Their sponsorship will allow us to give something back to some of the people who really make this event special.”
He added, “We intend to have a very much club focused approach this year and hope to attract people from across the country to the revamped National Water Sports Centre.”
To be in contention for national titles, all four members of a relay team must be registered members of the same team and members of Triathlon England. There are various age categories available, making winning a medal possible for many teams! Home Nation membership also provides benefits, such as year-round insurance for all training and racing.
